Be an Official DIF Event

Would you like to be part of this year’s Digital Innovation Festival? 


The DIF is seeking out excellence across the tech community to host events to help people discover digital Victoria.

Ready to be an event host? Sign up by clicking on the pink button on the top right corner and create your own DIF account. Once you’re logged in you can Post an Event by clicking the other pink button in the top left corner. This will walk you through registering an account to post your event and also create your own DIF experience. If you'd like some more help, please check out the  2018 DIF Event Host Instructions.

Once your event is approved as an official Event, it is given priority ranking on the DIF Online Event Hub and promoted in the DIF Official Program Issuu. Your Event Host Account is fully self-service so that any changes, even last minute ones, can be made by you. It also allows you to create your own DIF experience as an audience member would, by shortlisting events and scheduling tailored alerts to your inbox.   

Things you should know: 

Tag your event! Categories allow the right people to find your event. Not sure what category you fit into? Ping us a message in your account and we will lend a hand! 

Inside the DIF is the official DIF blog where you can find all the latest info. Throughout the festival, official events will be included in the promotions on the blog!

What is the DIF Feedback Loop?

Events  are better when an audience is  engaged, with the content, your speakers and each other.

We  know  that  running  evaluation  surveys  can be expensive and is often the last  thing  the  team  wants  to  do.  So,  we wanted  make it easy and fun to engage  with  the  community.  

The  DIF  has  created a new way for event hosts and audiences to really connect. Partnering  with  Melbourne firm we’ve  created  the  DIF  Have your Say Platform. Best thing is we are sharing the benefit with you, our  event  hosts.

Hosts  will  have  access  to  an  account  for  their  own  event  to  run:

  • Audience  mailouts
  • Q&A  sessions
  • Visualisation of  comments
  • Show/hide  comments
  • Attendee  surveys
  • CSV  output  of  data

The DIF team will also  be  able to connect with you and your audience for feedback along the  way.
