[WEBINAR] GitHub introduction
Git101 workshops are found everywhere, every day. But many junior devs go into a new job armed with only the basics...
If you are ready to get beyond a simple add/commit/push (and know exactly what that means) this workshop is for you 💪
Even if you are learning to code and need the basics (we'll go over that) but then you'll see what will actually happen when you start working in the real world or when you jump into the world of open-source, which is a fantastic way to learn to code 🚀
By the end of the workshop you will:
⚡️ Be able to do comfortably engage in more advanced git activities within repositories on Github including working with teams and contributing to open-source projects
⚡️ Have produced your Github profile, repositories and have contributions merged into an open-source project
⚡️ Have mastered intermediate Git commands including merge, rebase, log, diff, and others.
Basic git commands you learn in most boot camps and online learning is typically not sufficient to take you into your first dev role. Be ready with our Github collaboration workshop!
⚠️ 30 minutes before the workshop, you will receive the Zoom link to join the workshop, so keep an eye on both your inbox (and on the spams as well)! ⚠️
Before the webinar, make sure
:- To download Zoom: https://zoom.us/download as the workshop will be live from Zoom
- To set up a Github profile at https://github.com/
- To have an IDE installed and configured on your computer. You may use the language of your choice, the open-source project will mainly focus on front end HTML/CSS to keep things simple.
- To seat in a quiet area
- To test your mic and headphones
Looking forward to seeing you all!
