Every year, International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8th commemorates the global achievements of women. This year, the theme, "Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress," underscores the importance of women's economic empowerment in achieving gender equality worldwide. 

The theme aligns with the priority focus of the United Nations 68th Commission on the Status of Women, highlighting the need to address barriers to women's economic inclusion. Despite progress, women still encounter significant obstacles in accessing education, employment, financial services, and literacy. International Women’s Day serves as a platform to advocate for equal opportunities for women and girls to learn, earn, and lead.
