Blockchain community builders recognised

26 November 2021 - The DIF Team

“The Blockchain Industry Awards presents an opportunity for those who are shaping, driving & building the ecosystem to be recognised for their efforts.” – Steve Vallas, CEO Blockchain Australia

Community is at the heart of so many segments of the blockchain space

Australia’s blockchain sector continues to grow and flourish. Incredible individuals are covering new ground in technical innovation, regulation, community building and new business ideas.

What better way to showcase the value that community builders bring than to ask people in the blockchain industry who they think deserves an award for working tirelessly to bring people, ideas and projects together.

It's time to VOTE for ‘The Blockies’ community leader of the year. Voting closes 30th November at 5:00pm AEST. Submit votes online here.  The winner will be announced on December 9th at the 2022 Blockies Awards Ceremony.

Blockies Community Leader of the Year, People's Choice 2021

Victorian blockchain ecosystem builders

Two innovators of the Victorian blockchain ecosystem have been nominated for Community Leader of the Year, Peoples Choice Award 2021.

Joni Pirovich, Princpal at Blockchain & Digital Assets

Joni Pirovich, Principal at Blockchain & Digital Assets

“Community is at the heart of why we are in blockchain. Any professional working in this space knows this and that contribution to community is part and parcel of the social license to operate. As a digital lawyer, my message to other lawyers seeking to work in this area is to give and volunteer to the space at least as much as you profit (or seek to profit) from it.”

Joni was also recently named a finalist for Dealmaker of the Year and Special Counsel of the Year in the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards for the DAO structuring and blockchain and digital assets legal and tax book she built with the support of the blockchain community over these past few years.
