Speaker Profiles

Katrina Donaghy - CEO of Civic Ledger (Moderator)

Katrina is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Civic Ledger – a civic focused blockchain Australian company. We work with governments globally on the use of blockchain technologies to solve specific business problems where blockchain is advantaged over traditional legacy technologies.

Through her early years as a sociologist through to her interest in entrepreneurialism, she has extensive experience in public policy and early stage commercialisation. For more than 20 years, Katrina has worked in both public and not for profit sectors with a specific focus on business development, project delivery and revenue diversification with the view to building resilient and sustainable organisations.

In Australia, she founded the Brisbane Women in Blockchain Meetup and regularly speaks on the topic of why cities and governments should be exploring blockchain technologies. Katrina's interest in blockchain technologies is driven by her curiousity of its potential to replace government legacy systems to deliver efficiencies, stimulate innovation and build digital societies.

Adriana Belotti - Head of Marketing and Community at Prismatik

Adriana Belotti has a background in web development and digital marketing and is currently the Head of Marketing and Community at Prismatik, a technology consulting firm that provides software delivery teams and expert tech services for startups and corporates.

In 2018, Adriana launched ‘The Blockchain Pro Podcast’, a series of interviews with professionals that have made the switch to working in the crypto world, discussing their career trajectory, blockchain tech and pro tips.

Adriana is the blockchain lead for Spark Festival and part of the steering committee driving the implementation of the Federal Government’s National Blockchain Roadmap.

A bitcoiner at heart, she organises two of the oldest crypto meetups in Australia, Bitcoin Sydney and Blockchain Professionals, as well as the newly formed Webflow Sydney, about simple website development using Webflow’s #nocode toolkit.

Chloe White - National Blockchain Roadmap Lead

Chloe White is the National Blockchain Roadmap Lead at the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. Chloe is currently on secondment from the federal Treasury, where she led the Government’s review into Initial Coin Offerings, represented Treasury at the quarterly Council of Financial Regulators DLT Working Group, and advised on blockchain and digital assets. Chloe’s formal training is in economics and public policy. She is based in Sydney.

Leanne Kemp - CEO of Everledger and Queensland Chief Entrepreneur

Leanne Kemp is Founder and CEO of Everledger and Queensland Chief Entrepreneur. She is a prominent figure in the technology sector and recognised internationally as an innovator and leader. Her company Everledger uses Blockchain technology to track high-value assets such as diamonds, art and wine with the aim of increasing transparency and trust with technology.

In 2018, her entrepreneurial success saw her appointed as the Queensland Chief Entrepreneur in Australia, to develop the state’s startup ecosystem, attract investment and support job creation. She is the first woman entrepreneur to hold this position. In 2019 her tenure as Chief Entrepreneur was extended for another year, the first time the role has been extended since its creation. Leanne works on a global scale to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation and is an advocate of sustainability in business.

Women in Blockchain Melbourne Meetup was founded in 2017 to provide the space and resources for our members to connect, learn, and grow. Volunteers host networking events and tech talks highlighting the accomplishments of women and gender non-conforming folks in the blockchain industry.
