What is an urban innovation partnership, and how will it shape Melbourne?

In this conversation, panellists explored how establishing the Melbourne Innovation Districts (MID) – a collaborative partnership between the City of Melbourne, RMIT University, and the University of Melbourne – is preparing Melbourne to keep pace with unprecedented technological and social change. MID reflects a growing, global movement of innovation districts spanning cities such as London, Barcelona, Boston and Shanghai. The development of this first innovation district will strengthen Melbourne’s links into this global innovation network by catalysing an urban innovation cluster just north of Melbourne’s CBD.
