Keeping your small business cyber fit - Working remotely during an emergency

Cynch YouTube Channel

Summary:

This webinar is for small businesses going remote for the first time or those wanting actionable steps on long-term secure remote working

Purpose of this Webinar:

As a small business ourselves, we understand that there's a lot to think about and work through at the moment. This is the first time a global situation of this kind has hit us and it's an emotionally and mentally challenging time for everyone.

We also had to go through some changes and are now all working from home.

We would like to share some cybersecurity considerations around things to watch out for as you make plans around remote working. We've published some of this information on our recent blog but wanted to walk-through the content with the broader community and to answer some of your burning questions.

Topics Covered:

  • Secure access to your office systems
  • Protect the information and equipment in your office
  • Take care when communicating with customers and your team
  • Keep an eye out for more scams and ‘fake news’
  • Prepare for Internet and Cloud service disruptions
  • Make sure you’re connecting from a secure network
  • Keep control of sensitive data at home

Following this webinar, participants will:

  • Have a better understanding of where they need to start and what they need to do next
  • Know what questions they need to ask their IT support teams
  • Hopefully, be calmer when they see help is here!

About the Presenter:

About Cynch:

The need for small business owners to adopt new technology to improve efficiency and reach more customers has never been greater. But more technology brings more cyber risk, and securing against this risk is harder for small business owners because they have no time, small budgets and little to no in-house tech expertise. To put it simply, they are not cyber fit.

But what does Cyber Fitness look like for a small business? A Cyber Fit business understands and actively works on reducing the cyber risks in their technology. A cyber fit business implements the right solutions and a cyber fit business keeps track of their progress and can prove they're doing everything possible. Our mission at Cynch is to make it possible for any business to be a cyber fit business.
