Who is NORTH Link

NORTH Link is a strong regional partnership of industry, education, health and government, established in 1995, that plays an integral role across northern metropolitan Melbourne.

A business network and regional economic development advocacy group representing Melbourne’s northern region, NORTH Link comprises local councils (the cities of Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland and Whittlesea and the shires of Mitchell and Nillumbik), local tertiary education institutions and industry including Melbourne Airport, Northern Hospital, DPV Health and the Melbourne Market Authority.

North and West Melbourne Data Analytics Hub

The North and West Melbourne Data Analytics Hub gives businesses an opportunity to harness student skills, analyse the data they collect and use that data to build business capability. The Hub works with students from La Trobe UniversityRMIT UniversityVictoria UniversityMelbourne Polytechnic and Kangan Institute to help businesses use their data to their best advantage.

The placements can address a variety of business issues, including:

  • data capturing and measurement

  • definition, cleaning and governance of data

  • development and visualisation

  • statistical analysis and reporting

  • forecasting

  • basic machine learning

 This event is supported by the Victorian Government as part of the DIF2021 Festival which runs from 25 August to 8 September.
