About All Tech Is Human

All Tech Is Human is building the Responsible Tech pipeline; making it more diverse, multidisciplinary, and aligned with the public interest.

MISSION:

Our non-profit organization is committed to building the Responsible Tech pipeline. We believe that by changing the types of individuals involved in how technology is developed and deployed, we can alter our tech future for the better. The technology that is being created today impacts a broad range of individuals and groups, yet is made by a small sliver of society. Our organization seeks to change this by bringing in new voices from a diverse range of backgrounds and perspectives.

Our goal is to become the hub that unites multiple stakeholders from a broad range of backgrounds interested in working out the difficult tech issues facing us on a personal and societal level. By uniting a broad range of stakeholders, we can begin to co-create a tech future that works for all of us.

PROBLEM:

The tech industry should not just be for technologists. As it currently stands, we are ill-prepared to handle the complex problems that technology creates. Many individuals who are well-suited to assisting currently do not have pathways into the process of how technology is developed and deployed.

SOLUTION:

All Tech Is Human acts as a unique space that draws in passionate participants across civil society, government, and industry. We bring in academics, artists, designers, advocates, attorneys, startup technologists, students, sociologists, psychologists and more to begin co-create our tech future.

Our flagship resource, the Responsible Tech Guide, was release in September 2020 to help offer guidance and pathways to the broad range of college students, grad students, young professionals, and career-changers that want to be part of our tech future but are unsure how to be plugged into the ecosystem. We have built a multitude of activities that work toward building community and knowledge-sharing, such as holding gatherings, running a popular Slack group, developing a mentorship program, running a Responsible Tech job board, kickstarting a university ambassador program and more.

Let’s co-create the tech future we deserve.
