The global pandemic clearly highlighted inequalities in access to digital technologies for students and schools.
As usual the divide was felt most keenly by students and teachers in areas of low socio-economic status (SES).
While most State governments implemented programs to provide devices and internet connections they could only ever be bandaid solutions.
We have now had a year to explore the digital divide and it is time to address the issue and, as educators, suggest and work towards reducing the inequalities.
