Measuring Australia's digital divide: Australian Digital Inclusion Index 2021 launch

Australian Digital Inclusion Index 2021 Webinar

The Australian Digital Inclusion Index (ADII) has been created to measure the level of digital inclusion across the Australian population, and to monitor this level over time. The ADII measures three key dimensions of digital inclusion: access, affordability, and digital ability. It shows how these dimensions change over time, according to people's social and economic circumstances, as well as across geographic locations

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society at RMIT, the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne and Telstra are proud to be launching the first findings from our 2021 Australian Digital Inclusion Index in this webinar.

Join us to find out how Australia is tracking, gain insights for better digital inclusion programs, and take a first look at our new dashboards which put the Index data in your hands.

About ARC RMIT

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society  (ADM+S) is a new, cross-disciplinary, national research centre, which aims to create the knowledge and strategies necessary for responsible, ethical, and inclusive automated decision-making. Funded by the Australian Research Council from 2020 to 2026, ADM+S is hosted at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia, with nodes located at eight other Australian universities, and partners around the world. The Centre brings together leading researchers in the humanities, social and technological sciences in an international industry, research and civil society network. Its priority domains for public engagement are news and media, transport, social services and health.

About CSI Swinburne

The Centre for Social Impact Swinburne was established in 2014 to contribute to Swinburne University of Technology’s mission to create social and economic impact through science, technology, and innovation. We form part of the national CSI network; a partnership between the University of New South Wales, Swinburne University of Technology, and the University of Western Australia. We integrate research, learning and engagement to produce high-quality outputs that are dynamic, accessible and useful. Our research is located at the intersection between social and organisational sciences, and focuses on four key themes: social and community innovation; enterprise for social goals; measuring and communicating social impacts and social investment and philanthropy.
