Meet The Filmmaker: Brick Maths – Animators, Don’t Try This At Home

When Dr Emily Cook, a passionate and driven senior lecturer in STEM Education looked for new ways to teach core mathematic concepts to math-phobic students she veered off the path most travelled and turned to animation. Together with a small team of accomplished rising-star stop motion animators she produced an ingeniously captivating series of LEGO films that achieved the cut through she was looking for. This dynamic team will share their films, discuss their production methods and talk about how they used the unique properties of animation to meet their goals.
