Get involved with #DIFlive 2023

This year, the DIF Festival will feature an exciting #DIFlive program. #DIFLive is a regular online learning opportunity that provides a platform for Victorian innovators, thought leaders and creators to share knowledge, insights and learnings with the wider community.

Speakers are invited to host a #DIFLive session on an allocated day during the festival period of the DIF2023 Festival.

The DIF team invites speakers to present a session on an allocated day during the festival period that aligns with these three areas - Topic, Tech or Tribe. However, speakers are free to pitch any relevant and interesting topics that relates to digital innovation and technology.

A table that lists the three areas: Topic, Tech or Tribe. Under 'Topic', there is a list that denotes: Emerging Tech, Future Jobs, Digital Inclusion, Online Business. Under 'Tribe' denotes: Entrepreneurs and Startups, Community and Public Sector, Education and Research, Business and Industry. Under 'Tech' denotes: AI/ML, Cyber, Fintech, Sportstech, Medtech / Healthtech, Edtech.

What is #DIFlive?

DIF Live is designed to engage audiences with different learning styles by offering resources in various formats.

Participants can watch the stream or catch up on-demand, read a downloadable resource or listen to an audio file like a podcast.

DIF Live will be streamed between 23 August to 6 September, providing EVERYONE in Victoria (and beyond) with the chance to learn wherever they are.

All sessions will also be recorded, so they can remain accessible as ‘on-demand’ content that will live on the DIF Online Hub for audiences to access anytime.

There are two streams in the DIF Live program:

Left column text Stream - DIF Lunch ‘n' Learn Purpose - Teach Time - 12-1pm Duration - 60min (1 session) Format - Presentations are flexible and could include a single presenter, panel discussion, roundtable, interactive, lessons shared or workshop session   Right column text Stream - DIF Download Purpose - Inform Time - 4-5pm Duration - 30min (x1 sessions) Format - Presentations about the ‘download’ content: Written Format (e.g. blog, magazine, guide, book, report) or Audio Format (e.g. audio book, podcast, voice memo)

What’s a DIF Lunch ‘n’ Learn?

Each DIF Lunch n Learn session will give attendees the opportunity to learn some new ‘top tips’, find out about the latest trends related to the daily DIF Live theme, or gain access to inside information and practical ‘how to’ guidance.

Sessions can be an introduction to technical concepts for career-changers or practical, easy to apply online business skills. As a session presenter, why not provide a ‘take away’, such as a ‘how to’ kit or a ‘step-by-step’ guide that will enable your event attendees to learn a skill or practice that they can incorporate into their work or homelife.

What’s a DIF Download?

DIF Download sessions are a 15 to 30 minute online presentation by a passionate expert talking on a topic close to their heart. Additionally, all attendees have access to a downloadable resource which they can keep. These downloadable resources will also be available on the DIF Online Hub.
