Navigating the Digital Frontier: Australian Cyber Conference 2023

09 October 2023 - The DIF Team

Australian Cyber Conference 2023 - Championing a Safer Digital Future

From 17-19 October, CyberCon, the southern hemisphere’s largest cyber security conference, will bring industry, government and community together in Melbourne. This year over 5,000 delegates from around the world will get the opportunity to hear from over 400 speakers and over 100 trade exhibitors.

Expect a robust blend of compelling keynotes, insightful panel sessions, and practical hands-on demonstrations aimed to equip you with the tools to confront current and impending cyber challenges. Below we feature a few of this year’s stand out activities.

The conference is hosted by the Australian Information Security Association (AISA); Australia’s peak body for cyber security professionals. AISA continues to spearhead cyber security awareness throughout Australia through the delivery of a range of programs and events. Finally congratulations to all the finalists and winners of this year’s AISA Awards Dinner on 17 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"AISA is proud to partner and work with RSA Conference to bring the RSAC CISO Boot Camp to Australia to help build the next generation of cyber security leaders."

Damien Manuel, Chairperson of AISA

RSA conference is bringing its Boot Camp exclusively for the 2023 Australian Cyber Conference Melbourne.

This partnership between AISA and RSAC marks an important milestone in building a safer nation and community by ensuring existing and aspiring leaders in Australia gain access to diverse global knowledge and experiences. RSAC CISO Boot Camp is an exclusive program for future CISOS to share and engage in a closed-door, invitation-only environment. Find out more and how to apply [RSAC CISO Boot Camp].

Lock Sport Village Workshop allows participants to explore the art of lock sport at their own pace, with guidance available for lock sport ranging from simple one-pin models to intricate six-pin versions, including those with security pins.

Skilled trainers are on hand to provide insight into the techniques needed to manoeuvre through these mechanisms, emphasising the tactile connection and understanding that’s essential for mastery. The hands-on approach encourages exploration, and the community-driven atmosphere fosters collaboration and shared learning.

Don't Miss The Cyber Social Event of the Year!

AISA’s Block Party is an annual highlight of Cybercon as it is the perfect antidote to the stimulation and information overload of everything you’ll hear, learn and discover at our conference during the day.
