Inside the DIF #3 - Future jobs and Blockchain DIFvicChampion

18 April 2019

DIF Team Update

The DIF Team continues to meet with potential event partners across the state to make sure that everyone is involved in this year's festival.

Events in the pipeline include a data analytics forum, a social impact hackathon and the case for autonomous vehicles.

Remember if you have an event idea, or expertise to share, the first step to get involved is to complete the online register your interest form.

Want to become a DIF2019 Event Partner?

There are many ways to make the DIF by contributing, collaborating, connecting and celebrating. First step is to register your interest and indicate which category best fits:

Event Host - You already have an event planned or you want to host an event we invite you to register to be included in the calendar.

Event co-host - You are not quite sure you want to lead an event but would like to collaborate with another organisation as partners.

Next step is to read the DIF2019 Event Partner Guide and then if you have any questions email the DIF Team.

Are you job ready for the future?

How do you find a job in a world where work skills seem to be changing?
How can small business access tech talent?

Future Jobs is a theme in DIF2019 with the aim to stimulate discussion on which skill sets are likely to be in demand in the future and what combination of technical expertise and generalist business skills is likely to be required by business.

Programs like SummerTech LIVE match Victorian businesses with tertiary students to solve their technology problems. #STL2019 Showcase of Victorian Tech Talent took place this week and a follow up event in August as part of DIF2019. COSBOA Innovation Games (Victoria) 2018/19 run by Paddl Co. final challenge on May 15th is sponsored by EnergyAustralia. Applications are now open at Paddl Co. with another event planned for DIF2019.

The Victorian Engineering and IT Student Jobs Expo (6 Sep) will wrap up DIF2019 and set you up for a successful digital career. Look out for more future of work events in DIF2019.
